Your St Paddy’s Day outfit doesn't have to be all about green. I mean, the green’s important unless you want to get pinched. But there are other elements of the holiday that you can incorporate into your ensemble. Today I’m sharing a wishlist filled with rainbows, gold and some traditional Irish plaid. I really wonder why you don’t see more rainbow and gold outfits on this holiday. It’s an Irish mystery. I’m confident though that a rainbow dress will impress. You'll have your friends pinching themselves, wishing they had come up with such a rad idea.

Now that we live on the water, it’s only natural that I become obsessed with nautical, right? When Nick and I first met, he had this crazy notion that we’d live on a boat. Though I’m very happy that idea never panned out, I wouldn’t mind taking a sailboat out for a day of fun in the sun. Now that we live here, sailing seems more possible than ever before. It’s funny how proximity will do that. Our entire lives we’ve lived near the water, but renting a boat or a couple of kayaks never crossed our minds until now. This weekend the weather was so warm, sunny and beautiful it felt like Summer. I can’t wait till June hits and we can spend long days lounging on the water. Though totally premature and out of season, today I’m sharing a sailor inspired wishlist. Soon enough we’ll be able to wear this stuff. And since the attire is half the fun of sailing, I want to be prepared.

It’s aliiiiiive! Sorry about that. I may have underestimated how long it takes to move. But after spending all weekend, Monday and Tuesday unpacking, I’m back today and ready to get down to business. I can’t even tell you how happy I am with our new place. Before the weekend, I was having major anxiety about if we made the right choice. Mainly, I worried the lighting would suck and blogging would become a total nightmare. This is not the case. The lighting here rocks...and I am a goof. I can’t wait to conduct my first shoot! But that probably won’t be until the weekend. In the meantime, please enjoy this list of items I want for our new home. Did you know Target has a mid century modern furniture line?! Yeah. Gunna have to get me some of that.

Apparently, I was very good last year. That or I duped santa. Either way, I ended up with some awesome gifts which I’m incredibly grateful for. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorites. St. Nick gave me those cute little dessert erasers and that amazing giant ice-cream cone lamp that I’ve been pining over for months now. Oh how he knows me. My parents freshened up my wardrobe and gave me a beautiful blue KitchenAid mixer. My very first stand mixer, gasp! My friends are responsible for those adorable Anthropologie finds- a gold lipstick holder and umbrella ring dish. Finally Nick’s parents got me the Silhouette Cameo cutting machine! Eep! Get ready to see the products of both the Silhouette and KitchenAid on here very soon. Total game changer. Ok now you go. What were your favorite gifts this year? Clothes, crafts, bakeware? Are you as excited as I am to start creating with new toys?
