About Me

10 Dreamy Outdoor Spaces

With summer almost here, I’m getting ready to spend my days in the sun. Although it’s been rather gloomy here, I know those hot Cali days are just around the corner. Soon there’ll be barbecues, ice cream socials and pool parties galore! I would just love to relax in one of these dreamy outdoor spaces, wouldn’t you? Our apartment complex maintains a pretty lovely common area, but I can’t wait to have a backyard of my own. I really want to start a garden. There is nothing like homegrown summer tomatoes! But I think that venture will have to wait. Gardening's tricky on the coast. Does it feel like summer where you are? What are you most excited for?

10 Margaritas To Try

Happy Cinco de Mayo amigos! To help you celebrate, I’ve put together a list of 10 margaritas to try. I love all holidays. Shocker. And whenever one rolls around, I like to let it inspire my food, drink and activities for the day. It makes the average Tuesday special, and challenges me to try new things. So today I intend to shake my cotton candy maracas, eat homemade tacos and drink one (or two) of these delicious margaritas. I may even splurge on a piñata. Check out my Cinco de Mayo Pinterest board for more fiesta pinspiration!

8 DIY Gifts for Mom

I’m a sucker for handmade gifts. They make presents personal and don’t break the bank. They also solve the problem of what to get someone who doesn’t want or need anything. Like parents. I’ve been making my parents gifts for as long as I can remember. Whether its a collection of photos of you and your siblings or a painted rock, nobody will love your handmade work more then your parents. So this Mother’s day, make mom something special! Here are a few ideas to get you started. Happy crafting!

10 Cactus DIYs for Earth Day

I’m baaaack! Took a little unscheduled break to deal with NYC issues. Last minute trips are exciting but also stressful. Finding an available apartment in our budget and timeframe was not easy. Why do people list their apartments as available when they’re not? Why Airbnb, WHY?! Thankfully after days of research and a big ol' headache, we booked a place. But when things were still up in the air, I just couldn't focus on anything else. Blog included. But now I can! Woohoo! And I’m focusing on these kick-cactus DIYs. Earth Day is just days away, and what better way to celebrate than with a cactus? I can’t think of one. Happy Monday!

Wallpaper: I Want It

Ever since we moved and have been designing our new space I’ve wanted one thing, wallpaper. Our building is super chill about doing anything we want to the unit and I wanna get my hands dirty with adhesive. There are two spots I’m thinking about covering, an accent wall in the dining room or one in our bedroom. Both spaces are relatively bare and in need of some pizzaz. Enter wallpaper. I know what you’re thinking. That I’m crazy. You might be right. I’ve never worked with wallpaper before, so I don’t have any wallpaper woes. Nope. Right now, all I have are wallpaper wants...and I’ve got ‘em bad. So I’ve put together a roundup of some of my favorites from the interwebs. Bold banana leaves, pink flamingoes, or simple polka dots? Which one’s your fave?
