Our first weekend in the city has come and gone, and man was it a doozy! Can you believe we’ve been here a whole week already? I can’t. Even though I’ve been going out and exploring all day everyday, there’s still so much left to discover. I do however feel like I’m starting to get my bearings. I am less heavily reliant on Google Maps, generally go the right way on the Subway and can make it up all four flights of our “charming” walk-up without passing out. Success! It was really nice having Nick join me this weekend, since he’s been working during the week. We wandered through downtown, sipped craft beer in Brooklyn and ate the best Chinese dumplings in the world. But after a full week of serious walking, today I’m giving my feet a well deserved break. It’s hard work being a tourist! These photos are from one of my favorite adventures so far- my walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. I’ve always been fascinated by bridges. There aren’t very many near where I grew up, so it’s always a half terrifying half awesome experience driving over one. Now walking across one, that’s something everyone ought to try! Hope your weekend was lovely. Here’s to a great week!
