DIY Donut Bulletin Board w/ Sprinkle Push Pins

Gah! I am so excited about today’s back-to-school DIY I can barely contain myself. Guys, I made donut bulletin boards… with pom pom sprinkle push pins! (insert screaming in disbelief kitten emoji here) I really channeled my inner middle-schooler on this one thinking back to the days of lockers and more importantly, locker decoration. I used to get so into enhancing my locker with pretty and awesome things. This donut bulletin board would have fit in perfectly! For those of you who’ve traded lockers for grown-up workstations, fear not! The donut bulletin board knows no age. This is a DIY for everyone! Ah Donuts, bringing people together since 1847. (apparently that’s when donuts were invented)

Materials

  • Flat Head Push Pins
  • Pom Pom Trim (found in fabric trim aisle)
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Thin Cork Board
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors

Directions

For push pin sprinkles: Gather materials. Cut pom poms off of trim. Place hot glue onto head of push pin. Squeeze pom-pom onto hot glue. Tada!

For bulletin board donuts: Gather materials. Cut out donut shape. I traced a plate and a small cup to get my circles. Sketch icing onto donut using chalk. Paint cake, main icing and then decorative icing. Let dry completely. Attach to wall and decorate with pushpin sprinkles and your favorite photos! Enjoy!
