Uncle Sam's Straw DIY- Paint the Gown Red

It’s here! The moment you’ve all been waiting for…since yesterday. The one the only, Uncle Sam’s Straw! Sip sip hooray! Are these not the cutest patriotic straws you ever did see? I can’t wait to pop one into a chilled glass of stars and stripes sangria next weekend. Really I can’t wait. I’ve already tested both and you’ll be happy to know, these straws are the perfect means to sangria in your mouth. Oh bow-tiful.

Materials

  • Red, White and Blue Crepe Paper
  • Paper Straws
  • String
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Directions

1. Gather materials

2. Cut crepe paper into three sizes: blue large, white medium and red small. Cut string.

3. Stack crepe paper largest to smallest and align on one side.

4. Pinch center of crepe paper stack and tie a knot with a piece of string. Trim excess string.

Gently unfold both sides of crepe paper into a bow.

Place adhesive (I used hot glue) onto the back of the bow and glue to paper straw.
