Perfectly Chocolate Birthday Cake

Perfectly Chocolate Birthday Cake- Paint The Gown Red

Sunday was my dad’s birthday. Much like every party needs a pooper, it also needs a kick ass birthday cake. His favorite desserts are chocolate chocolate… wonder where my chocoholism comes from? So I made one of my favorite recipes; Hershey’s Perfectly Chocolate Cake. This is one of the best classic chocolate cakes you will ever make. Seriously. The cake is light, fluffy and moist as can be. Now balance that with an incredibly rich and creamy chocolate frosting, and see who’s having the best day ever. Hint: It’s you. I wanted my cake to be super fancy so I made decorative (and delicious) chocolate curls. This was my first time making curls, but thanks Ree, The Pioneer Woman, it was incredibly quick and easy! I found that the thicker the chocolate the bigger the curls. Well, what are you waiting for? Go bake a cake!
